Glass and Print – Amber Hiscott and David Pearl

I began to look at architectural glass, as it is usually this type of glass application that uses a lot of colour in glass and the properties of the material to its best advantage, which are both areas in which I have been keen to explore in my own work.

I came across an artist called Amber Hiscott who originally specialised as a stained glass artist but she has also produced free-standing glass sculptures along with David Pearl.

I love the colours that she uses because they are so bold and force the viewer to observe the piece and therefore has encourages me to explore glass printing techniques and how I could incorporate them in my own work.
